In 2010 I collaborated with the Milan-based studio 'Interaction Design Lab' for the creation of an industrial hostel to complement the studio’s co-working space. The concept was to create an indoor “camping” area where they could host their co-working guests as well as attendants of the annual ‘Salone del Mobile’ exhibition. I designed the logo and space signage and a branded welcome kit including a map to the camping room. Each of the 10 tents was named after a personality trait such as “introvert” or “nature-lover” and was customised to match this feature: vinyl stickers were applied on the interior of the tents so that, when the lights were on, shadows seen from the outside gave the impression of the tents being furnished.
